These words were spoken by Pastor John Robinson to the 17th century Pilgrims as they departed from Holland for what would become Plymouth Colony. God is alive! God will always have something new to say to us! God is still speaking!

As we continue our Bible Study of the Gospel of Luke we will examine the historic text to both understand it’s original context and to listen for how it might speak to us today in our present circumstances. Our focus this week is Luke 9:28-10:37, which includes the story of the Transfiguration. But before we dig into that, we will look briefly at the importance of Jerusalem in the Gospel of Luke, and the term that Jesus uses for himself in the first passion prediction and repeatedly: the Son of Man.
