Juneteenth Sunday

Juneteenth, June 19, is a historically black holiday in the United States commemorating the liberation & emancipation of enslaved Black Africans. It is also often observed for celebrating black culture. Originating in Galveston, Texas, it has been celebrated annually on June 19 in various parts of the United States since 1865. The anniversary date of the June 19, 1865 marks when the Union general Gordon Granger proclaimed freedom for enslaved people in Texas, which was the last state of the Confederacy with institutional slavery. Join us this Sunday June 19th as we celebrate our liberating God.
