The Christian tradition of fasting on certain occasions and feasting on others has deep roots in many ancient cultures and ideas. This Lent, Gather looks at both practices in the context of Henri Nouwen’s classic The Life of the Beloved, in which the way Jesus fed people becomes a framework for understanding the mechanisms of divine grace.
