In continuation with our  journey in Raising a Child in a Color Conscious World we will gather virtually for a video/discussion and activities.

The Youth will meet with Maureen from 1:00-1:30 via Zoom to view a Kid President Video on MLK Jr. and reflect on how we should treat one another. This will be done through conversation and a group art project.

Then from 1:30-2:00 , the Adults will meet with Gloria via Zoom for a discussion of bias in schools and how to advocate for your child and/or help your child recognize it and know that it's inappropriate. We will view a short topic starter video from the recent 21 challenge - Bias Isn't Just A Police Problem, It's A Preschool Problem | Let's Talk | NPR , followed by sharing our experiences and advice on dealing with implicit bias and systemic racism in education.
