 Jesus, the master of the parable, uses this literary form to subvert not just our thinking, but our worldview. But this session will not be looking at Jesus' parables. 

Together we will look at the worldviews  that dominate our 21st century thinking, worldviews that need subverting. Some parables that Loren will present may be disturbing. Others may be the opposite of disturbing; the upside-down worldview suggested by the parable might be comforting or even exhilarating.

In a parable, truth is expressed not in rational discourse in order to educate us, but in creatively perplexing narrative that disrupts our routine thinking. Let those who have ears to hear....
