Join us as we welcome our very own Shannon Obed. Shannon will be sharing with us about her upcoming travels in May as a guest of the Pine Tree Reservation,home to the Oglala Lakota Nation in South Dakota. She will be conducting research on how a multidisciplinary approach can be applied in rural communities to improve access to mental health care. She will also share a bit about  the Waldorf school that is on the reservation  which teaches the native language and culture to youth. 

Shannon was accepted into the highly selective Inter profesional Rural and Telehealth Program at Loyola University Chicago.It is a grant program through the schools of Nursing,Medical and Social work. She is currently in her second year of a MSW program there.
