There are many things in life that are out of our hands. This workshop is an opportunity to take charge of something very important – how you are treated if you get seriously ill. While talking about illness is difficult, doing so before you are sick is an opportunity to share with your family and friends in a holistic way.
This two-part session will be led by Rev. Janet MacLean, System Leader, Clinical Pastoral Education at Advocate Aurora Health and Neal Heriaud, attorney at Heriaud, Genin & Bruggeman. This first session will focus on how you think about illness and death, your hopes for that experience and who should be part of that experience. The second session will focus on how to complete a legally effective document to express your wishes and to name an agent to make decisions when you are no longer able to decide.
