This week we continue our exploration of our denomination by spending time with Rev. Dr. Terrill N. Murff, the Associate Conference Minister who works with Pilgrim, and the CMA (Chicago Metropolitan Association) on behalf of the Illinois Conference of the UCC.

The CMA is one of the most diverse areas of the nation, representing a microcosm of the “big tent” that is the UCC. Rev. Murff’s skills as an excellent preacher and visionary leader, able to work with and facilitate interactions among people from different socio-economic, age and ethnic groups are a perfect fit for our Association. His experience as Pastor and Teacher at The Congregational Church of Park Manor, UCC, and 26-year-career in engineering (as a leader, supervisor and manager for W.R. Grace) helped prepare him for this leadership role with the United Church of Christ.
