As it migrated north, Christianity found early European communities with powerful beliefs. Encounters with their cultures led to mutual influences—some good (the liturgical calendar), some not so much (like nationalism and supremacy). Starting in Persia and Greece, we spend October traveling northern Europe looking for seeds that got sown into Western Christianity.
