Money, Money, Money!

Working from Walter Brueggemann’s 2020 book, Materiality as Resistance, we enter 2021 asking how faith shapes our moral understanding and frames our public selves. Following Brueggemann’s lead, we begin with money. Jesus spoke frequently of how money and matters of the heart connect. This first week looks at money as a necessity and a symbol. How do we do what is right in capitalist systems? Can wealth be responsibly used to serve the common good?
