Sea and Land

According to Genesis, after God divides darkness and light, God separates the sea from land. While it seems like a perfunctory move, many cultures place great significance on how the land—their land—came to exist. What impulses play into this step in the Creation? We’ll look at the theology and do some armchair anthropology as we revisit this stage in the Creation.
