Big Words / Bigger Ideas: Righteousness and Justice

Can’t get too deep into faith-based activism without bumping into Amos 5:24. “Let justice roll

down like waters, and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream.” Clearly, the prophet has two

distinct currents in mind that lose something when we merge them into a common idea. What is

righteousness? How about justice (everybody’s favorite word these days)?
