Caesar’s Things/God’s Demands: Living Day by Day

If capitalism and Christianity are incompatible, can Christians survive (and thrive) in a capitalist society? That depends on what we choose to see in our culture and what we choose to ignore in the teachings of Moses, Jesus, and our faith ancestors. First, we acknowledge the tensions that surround economic justice. Then we become receptive to the solutions that scripture offers. They are not as idealistic as we’re conditioned to believe. But it’s also not as easy as it sounds.
