Queer Theology 101: Orientation and Identity

Repeatedly scripture reminds us we are the image of God, “wonderfully made” (Psalm 139:14), and even the hairs on our head are accounted for (Luke 12:7). Yet modern fascination with dualisms has marred this understanding of our making, distorting the original sense of many texts and teachings to promote a brand of heteronormativity the ancients wouldn’t recognize. How do we reclaim these texts?
