Join us for Transfiguration Sunday, the final Sunday following Epiphany, and before Lent. All three of the synoptic gospels tell a story of Peter, James, and John accompanying Jesus to the top of a holy mountain. There, before their eyes, Jesus is transfigured or transformed into a dazzling brightness.
At worship we celebrate our relationship with God, we strengthen our relationship with each other, and we explore what it means to "do justice, love kindness, and walk humbly with our God".
Rev. Colin Knapp will be leading worship and preaching. The lectionary scriptures are 2 Kings 2:1-12; Psalm 50:1-6; 2 Corinthians 4:3-6; and Mark 9:2-9.
