Chicago Latvian Dance Group Mantinieki

The Mission of the Chicago Latvian Folk Dance Group Mantinieki is to promote Latvian heritage and culture through the art of traditional and modern folk dancing. Fair Oaks Presbyterian Church

Growing Community Media – Wednesday Journal

Growing Community Media connects citizens through community journalism rooted deep in our neighborhoods, based in facts, and reflective of voices not always heard. GCM is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit publisher of authentic, independent, local community journalism, online and in print, across seven communities on the west side of Chicago and in its west suburbs. It was founded in 2019 and acquired established media outlets Austin Weekly News (1986), Wednesday Journal of Oak Park and River Forest (1980), Forest Park Review (1918) and Riverside Brookfield Landmark (1985), transitioning them to a nonprofit ownership model. www.growingcommunitymedia.org

Heritage Chorale

The purpose of the Chorale is threefold:  (1) to perform choral masterworks in many different styles and from many periods of music history; (2) to provide a setting in the Oak Park-River Forest area where local artists and composers can be heard; (3) to sing a repertoire that includes the rich musical diversity of cultures, composers, and instruments from around the world in juxtaposition with the cultural and musical wealth we enjoy in our own land. www.heritagechorale.com

F3 Nation Benefiting Housing Forward

The Mission of F3 is to plant, grow and serve small workout groups for men for the invigoration of male community leadership. Offering free outdoor peer-led workouts in the community, F3’s goal is to welcome men of all fitness levels and all physical abilities to our workouts. We have no requirement for membership other than you show up on time to the location and follow what the workout leader has planned. We will not leave any man behind! Learning Edge Tutoring

The mission of Learning Edge Tutoring is to strive for more equity in education by providing Chicago area students who live in underserved communities free one-to-one tutoring and academic enrichment opportunities enhanced by caring, mentoring relationships. It is a nonprofit, community-based organization that provides free one-to-one tutoring to more than 100 students in grades K through 12 who primarily come from the Austin neighborhood on Chicago’s West Side.  The program was founded in 1990 by a “cluster” of local churches and community groups in response to the disturbing statistic that less than half of Chicago Public School students graduate from high school.  Each tutor is matched with a student, and the tutor-student pair works together during the school year to prepare the student for a successful academic career. https://learningedgetutoring.org/

Lux Cantorum Chicago

Lux Cantorum is a unique sacred choral ensemble with a rich spiritual tradition and an ever-expanding repertoire. Oak Park Area Lesbian and Gay Association

OPALGA’s mission is to improve the quality of life and to empower lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) residents of the area through communication, education, participation, celebration, and understanding, thereby incorporating our unique strengths and values into everyday life. The Oak Park Regional Housing Center offers free apartment referral services, and rental counseling to building owners. They work to counteract steering and to promote pro-integrative choices through affirmative marketing. They market Oak Park as a community for all races, attracting people who respond to and strengthen that kind of climate. The OPRF Hockey Club is organized for fielding competitive ice hockey teams at the Illinois High School Varsity and Junior Varsity levels. Pilgrim Community Preschool
