Donuts at the Oak Park Farmer’s Market

If, like many Oak Parkers, you have ever attended the Farmers' Market, you may know us as "the donut church." The Farmer's Market moved to our parking lot over 35 years ago, and since then, Pilgrim, in partnership with more than 20 local non-profit organizations, has made donuts and served coffee every Saturday from late May through October.

This donut ministry has helped both the church and the greater Oak Park community over the years. We share the revenue with our partners and provide an opportunity for multiple groups to share information about their work with the larger community. We also appreciate the chance to partner with the Oak Park Farmers' Market to create a warm, vibrant community center every Saturday morning.

Oak Park’s Great Food Truck Rally

Since 2013, Pilgrim Congregational Church has sponsored Oak Park’s Great Food Truck Rally.  We are very excited to bring a fabulous variety of gourmet food truck fare with flavors from around the planet to Oak Park, IL. This is a perfect event for family and friends to hang out, enjoy a meal you don't have to prepare, and be surrounded by wonderful live music.

Pilgrim is proud to host the West Suburban CROP Walk.  The walk steps off from Pilgrim Church the First Sunday of every May.

Twenty-five percent of the funds raised by the Walk help locally by supporting Oak Park/River Forest Food Pantry, Forest Park Food Pantry, Pine Avenue Food Pantry, Proviso Food Pantry, Vital Bridges, St Eulalia Catholic Church ECHO Food Pantry, Columbus Park Food Pantry, Cluster Tutoring, PADS, and OPRF Walk-In Ministry.

Seventy-five percent is used by Church World Service (CWS) for disaster relief, self-help development projects & food in more than eighty impoverished countries.
